Auction To Benefit Collin Helmers Foundation

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– An auction benefitting the Collin Helmers Foundation will be held this Saturday (April 2nd) at the Elks Lodge in Estherville.

Organizer Wendy Sander says the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the auction beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Sander says hundreds of items…many of them donated by area businesses and industries…will be on the block. They include things such as Terry Redlin prints, gift certificates, golf packages at several area courses, day spa packages, lodging packages at local hotels, and some unique items including some things donated by Cale Sanderson; a football signed by Hawkeye Coach Kirk Ferentz; and much more.

In addition to the live and silent auctions, there will also be a raffle for several items, including a 2005 A-T-V.

Sander says all proceeds from the event go toward the purchase of water safety equipment, sponsoring swim lessons, scholarship funds for safety/rescue careers and lake overscan cameras.

The auction and raffle will be followed by a dance featuring music by “Hoorah”.

Everyone is invited.
