(Okoboji)– The performing arts center project at the Lakes Art Center has apparently encountered some higher that expected construction costs.
The Okoboji City Council Tuesday heard a request from Art Center member Ace Corey requesting the city contribute money to help offset an 800-thousand dollar shortfall.
The request took council members by surprise. The agenda indicated art center representatives would be on hand to request assistance with utility placements.
The council took no action on the request for funding.
