(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Tuesday evening met with business owners that have yet to comply with a new ordinance requiring parking lots in commercially-zoned areas be hard surfaced by this coming December 15th.
A handful of businesses have yet to comply with the ordinance, and most of them had representatives at the meeting. They’ve also responded in writing to the city, citing reasons for not having complied yet.
City officials say they’ve heard something from all but two businesses, and that the reasons for the delays are valid. The only two businesses that haven’t been heard from are for sale.
City Administrator Ron Walker says he’ll be meeting with City Attorney Harold White to draw up agreements with the various businesses giving them new deadlines in which to apply, based on their individual circumstances. Walker says he hopes to do that by the December 15th deadline.
