(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council has again gone on record as being opposed to a county proposal to replace culverts at the Lower Gar Outlet with a bridge.
The council Wednesday evening directed City Administrator Ron Walker to write a letter to the county expressing its opposition.
The same letter will express the city’s opposition to a proposal by the county to ban fishing on the Highway 71 bridge.
Council members said Wednesday evening that if the county passes the ban, either it or the D-N-R will have to enforce it.
The county has been toying with the idea based on concern from some boaters who said they feel intimidated by people casting their lines.
