AP Council Considers Ordinance Dealing With Underage Drinking

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park city council is vowing to get tough on underage drinking.

City Administrator Ron Walker says they’re considering an ordinance that would limit the times underage persons can be in an establishment that serves alcohol.

Walker says the issue has become more of a problem this summer, as police have issued more citations for underage drinking and public intoxication.

The city council held a first reading on the proposed ordinance at a special meeting last week. Walker says a public hearing on it is set for the next regular Arnolds Park city council meeting Wednesday, September 14th.
