(Madison, Wis.)– Alliant Energy reports a 13 million dollar loss during its second quarter.
That compares with a net income of 32 million during the same period last year.
The Madison, Wisconsin, utility says the average loss was 12 cents a share, compared with earnings of 35 cents a share a year ago. The results included a charge within its non-regulated businesses related to a pre-tax write-off of 43 million dollars.
Alliant President Bill Harvey says they aren’t satisfied with the second-quarter results from its non-regulated businesses and will continue to streamline their portfolio.
