Alger Resigns As E’burg Economic Developer

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– The city of Emmetsburg is looking for a new Community Developer after Tom Alger announced his resignation from the position at Monday’s city council meeting.

Alger has held the position the past five years.

Alger, who recently re-married following the death of his first wife, will be moving to the Des Moines area, where his new wife is from. He’s taken a job with the Iowa Insurance Divison in Des Moines as their Communications Director.

Alger’s last day on the job in Emmetsburg will be Friday, October 10th.

Alger says he’ll assist the city in finding a replacement up until that time.
