(Spencer)– Some additional local National Guard members are being called to active duty.
Guard Spokesman Colonel Robert King says seven more soldiers with the First Battalion, 194th Field Artillery will join the rest of their battalion that was deployed last September.
The battalion is providing security at army installations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
The 194th Field Artillery is headquartered in Fort Dodge. It has units in Storm Lake, Spencer, Algona and Estherville.
