Accident Near Spencer Sends One Person To The Hospital

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision just east of Spencer Friday sent one person to the hospital.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it happend around 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of county roads M-50 and B-24.

Authorities say Patricia Delaney of Lake Park was southbound on M-50 and stopped at the stop sign at B-24. Delaney proceeded into the intersection, into the path of an eastbound pickup driven by 42-year-old Lee Anderson of Armstrong.

Anderson struck Delaney’s mini-van in the right rear. The pickup Anderson was driving went into the southeast ditch, coming to rest on its top.

An unidentified passenger in Delaney’s vehicle was taken to Spencer Hospital with multiple injuries.

Delaney was cited for failure to yield upon entering a roadway.
