(Sibley)– A two-vehicle accident in Osceola county has claimed the life of a rural Sibley man.
The victim is identified as 37-year-old Mike Hodapp.
The sheriff’s office says Hodapp was westbound on a county road when he apparently crossed the center line at the crest of a hill and collided head-on with a van driven by 26-year-old Roman Kiss of Mason City. Kiss received minor injuries that did not require treatment.
The mishap took place shortly after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
The mishap remains under investigation.
