(Arnolds Park)– Mother Nature has delivered–just in time for this weekend’s University of Okoboji Winter Games.
A major winter storm has dumped six inches of snow on the Iowa Great Lakes area since it started falling late Sunday. An additional inch or two is possible yet today (Mon.).
The snow is welcome news to the committee that’s been organizing this year’s Winter Games. Bare ground had them faced with grim prospects again this year for activities that rely on snow. But that won’t be a problem now.
The snow has been causing it’s share of problems though. It’s forced numerous schools in the region to either start late or cancel classes altogether.
