November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Three people will be running in a special election to fill an open seat on the Spencer city council.

The ward three seat on the council will be vacated when current councilman Reynold Peterson steps into the Mayor seat January 1st.

City Clerk Donna Fisher says Kyle Norris, Steve Bomgaars and R-D Bob Johnson have filed papers for the open seat. Filing deadline was 5:00 p.m. last Thursday.

The election to fill the seat will be February 3rd. Only voters in Spencer’s third ward will be eligible to vote.
