(Jackson, Mn.)– Two northwest Iowa men are among four people being inducted later this summer into the 2010 Hall of Fame at the Jackson Speedway.
Joel Taylor of Milford was a long-time driver at the track, and Matt Spies of Spirit Lake who several championships during his years of racing at the speedway, are among this year’s inductees.
Others include Larry Smith…a long-time driver from Windom; and Mike Thurmer of Jackson who worked many years at the track when it was operated by the Jackson VFW.
The induction ceremony will be held Saturday, July 31st during the Jackson County Fair. It will begin at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon in the Anderson building at the fairgrounds.
A display of memorabilia will also be available and refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
