(Everly)– A two-vehicle collision north of Everly Thursday sent two people to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it took place around 5:40 p.m. about a half-mile east of the highway 18 and 140th Avenue intersection.
18-year-old Cory Lemke of Sheldon was westbound on Highway 18 when authorities say he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a semi-truck driven by 64-year-old David Lynn of Spencer.
Lemke’s 2002 Dodge van entered the south distch, striking a field drive.
Lemke and a passenger in his vheicle sustained minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital. No injuries were reported to Lynn.
Lemke was cited for failure to yield half of the highway to oncoming traffic.
