(Spencer)– Two local economic development organizations have received special recognition from the Mid-America Economic Development Council. The organization represents economic development professionals and organizations across a 13-state region in the Midwest.
Spencer Economic Development Corporation, or SEDC, received the Overcoming Adversity Award in the Medium Populations division for Commercial Business Assistance Grants.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation was recognized for Entrepreneurship in the Large Populations division for the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute and its 20 years of success.
The awards were presented earlier this week during a meeting and ceremony of the Mid-America Economic Development Council in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
