(Arnolds Park)– An important deadline is quickly approaching for this year’s University of Okoboji Oktoberfest. Morgan Strauss of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says registration prices for some of the events will increase by five dollars September 7th…
“And if you want the lowest price and to guarantee your t-shirt, we need your registration by September 7th. You have now through the weekend. That price right now is $30 and it will go up to 35. And then don’t forget we have other events down at Preservation Plaza that are free, including our stein holding contest, our keg toss, and then we also have inflatables for the kiddos as well as the vendor show and live music going on.”
Strauss adds they still have some vendor spaces available…
“That vendor list is updated on our website currently. I’ll make sure that that stays updated just to see what’s already there. We try not to double up on stuff, so. We still are taking vendors and that price will increase as well on the 7th, so get the lowest price and join us for a family fun weekend.”
The 35th annual University of Okoboji Oktoberfest will be held Saturday, September 26th at Preservation Plaza at Arnolds Park. The main event, an 18-mile bike ride around West Lake Okoboji, will begin at 10:00 am that morning.
