(Spirit Lake)– We have an update on construction on a heavily traveled road on the east side of East Lake Okoboji. As we reported previously, a re-surfacing project is underway on County Road M-56, or the “Camp Foster Road” as some refer to it.
The Dickinson County Engineer’s Office says paving operations on that road are currently scheduled to get underway Wednesday, September 2nd. Paving will begin at Highways 9 and 71 and proceed from there to the east and southeast, eventually to the intersection with County Road A-34.
As a result, they say flaggers and pilot cars will be active. Those traveling in that area will need to allow plenty of extra time. Those entering and exiting subdivisions in the area are requested to wait for the pilot car and use extra caution.
