(Hartley)– An Ocheyedan man faces a felony charge after an incident near Hartley.
Criminal charges filed in O’Brien County accuse 20-year-old Aaron Ortiz of intentionally crashing into another car last week. In his statement, the deputy says Ortiz struck the victim’s vehicle with his 2010 Lexus at least three times, causing significant damage. The occupied vehicle was pulled over to the side of the roadway at the time.
Ortiz was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a class C felony. If convicted, he could face up to ten years in prison.
He also faces misdemeanor charges of domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
