(Spirit Lake)– Minor injuries were reported Monday in a collision involving a semi tractor-trailer and a car near the intersection of Highway 9 and 210th Avenue, east of Vick’s Corner.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Delaney Packard of Milford was driving a 2010 Honda Accord and was approaching 210th Avenue while 67-year-old Lance Pospisil of Sioux Falls was attempting to turn westbound onto Highway 9 from 210th Avenue, driving a 2024 Kenworth semi tractor-trailer. An accident report says Pospisil pulled out in front of the vehicle driven by Packard and that Packard collided with the side of the semi tractor and trailer.
Packard was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Pospisil.
Packard’s vehicle was totaled; minor damage was reported to the semi tractor and trailer.
Pospisil was cited for failure to yield.
The collision took place a little before 9:00 am.
