Collision Near Terril Results In Minor Injuries

(Terril)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a two vehicle collision north of Terril that took place back on July 23rd of this year.

Authorities say 53-year-old Jody Sheriff of Sioux Falls was driving a 2013 Kia Sorento Southbound on County Road N14 and was approaching the intersection of County Road A34 while 57-year-old Laura Manwarren of Everly was driving a 2023 Hyundai Palisade eastbound on County Road A34. Deputies say Manwarren traveled into the intersection and that the two collided. Both vehicles came to rest in the ditch on the southeast side of the intersection. The one driven by Manwarren rolled, coming to rest on its top.

Sheriff and Manwarren were both taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare and were treated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Manwarren was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

Authorities were notified of the collision around 4:46 pm after getting an iPhone crash detection.
