(Royal)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a motorcycle crash last week that injured a Sioux Rapids man.
Authorities say 25-year-old Erick Johnson of Sioux Rapids was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson in the 2000 mile of County Road B40 about five miles east of Royal when he collided with a deer. The motorcycle came to rest in the north ditch.
Johnson was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The motorcycle was totaled.
Royal Fire and Rescue and the Spencer Hospital Ambulance assisted on the scene.
The collision took place around 6:15 am this past Tuesday, July 28th.
