(Spirit Lake)– A routine audit of the Spirit Lake Community School District shows revenues totaled a little more than $21.7 million for the fiscal year that ended June 30th, 2025. The report says that’s up 8.7 percent over the prior year. Expenses for the year ended June 30th, 2025 totaled $21.8 million, up nearly 12 percent from the prior year.
The report says the increase in revenue was related to local tax, tuition and federal sources, while the increase in expenses was attributed to negotiated salaries and benefits.
