(Arnolds Park)– This year marks a major milestone for the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute.
Jenny Dkykema of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, which puts on the event each year, says this marks the 20th year for OEI. She says they’ll commemorate the occasion with an OEI Homecoming the weekend of August 7th through the 9th…
“This year we are welcoming all of our alumni from the past 20 years, back for a alumni weekend. The week prior to that we’ll have a big cross-over event on that Sunday at Peace Harbor. But we’re really excited to bring the alumni back to the area. We’ve got a fun weekend planned with a bunch of educational sessions, some business tours, networking events.”
Dykema says OEI alum will also have plenty of opportunities to visit the various attractions in the Iowa Great Lakes that weekend…
“We did plan out the schedule kind of mindfully to allow all of these alumni to still experience the area. We’ve got a lot of planned events and also some open times when they can go try out the restaurants, go shopping, kind of support the local businesses here. So far we’ve got a lot of RSVP’s rolling in for that and we’re really excited to see how that turns out.”
The 2026 Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute itself will be held August 9th through the 14th.
