20th Annual River Of The River Is This Weekend In Jackson

July 09, 2026

(Jackson, Mn.)– Rhythm of the River is this weekend at Fort Belmont in Jackson. Organizer Hannah Rossow says this marks the 20th anniversary for the event, with bands that have performed over those years making return appearances…

“We’re super grateful that they want to come back. They love it and we love it, so we’re happy that they want to come back. We have a total of six bands Friday and 12 on Saturday, so a total of 18 bands between two stages. There’s Americana music, bluegrass, rock ‘n roll, blues, jam, reggae, I can’t even list all the genres. Very eclectic, lots of great music.”

Rossow says Rhythm of the River has seen a lot of changes over the 20 years…

“We’ve changed and evolved over the last 20 years. It was just a town celebration and now it’s a full blown family friendly music festival. We moved locations as you mentioned from Ashley Park up to Fort Belmont because of the flood but it’s been great. It’s been great for us being up at Fort Belmont. It is awesome what they’re doing up there. That’s one thing, too, when we say we’re at Fort Belmont, a lot of people, especially local people, have never even checked out Fort Belmont. So we’re happy we’re there and if you haven’t been there this is a great opportunity to come up and see all the great stuff that they’re doing up there.”

You can find more information and get tickets by downloading an app…

“Go on your phone and search rotr.app and it’s going to pop up with all of the information that you need to know for the whole weekend. There’s the lineup, there’s the schedule, there’s the events that are happening, there’s the vendors, everything is update in real time. It is so cool. If there’s an announcement it will pop up in the corner. It’s just great.”

Tickets can also be purchased in advance on their Facebook and Instagram pages. They will also be available at the gate this weekend but will cost a bit more.
