Arnolds Park City Council To Hold ANOTHER Public Hearing On Minnewashta Campground/Boat Ramp

July 08, 2026

(Arnolds Park)– A public hearing regarding the future of a boat ramp and campground is on the agenda for this (Wed.) evening’s Arnolds Park City Council meeting.

The city for some time now has been weighing options for the Minnewashta Campground and boat ramp.

The city council held a public hearing on the same topic back in February of this year and wound up referring the matter to the city’s Parks Board.

Other items on the agenda include a discussion on the Highway 71 stoplights, vacation rentals, and an update from the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation.

The Arnolds Park City Council convenes at 5:30 pm at the conference room of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce office in Arnolds Park.
