(Graettinger)– Questions and concerns over financial discrepancies in two northwest Iowa school districts continues to grow, along with frustration from residents.
The Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire School Districts revealed the issues back in June, saying they hired a firm to conduct an audit. The school board was scheduled to address the findings of that report Tuesday evening. That meeting was abruptly canceled. Superintendent Marshall Lewis says they have not yet received the audit. The company conducting the probe says the person in charge is on vacation this week.
Meanwhile, patrons of the Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire School Districts say their patience is wearing thin and are demanding answers, sooner rather than later.
It’s unclear if the audit is actually done or if another meeting has been scheduled.
