(Dickens)– A two vehicle crash this past Thursday at the intersection of Highway 71 and 280th Street at Fostoria sent one person to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old John Olson of Milford was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the highway and 66-year-old Linda Flaharty of Dickens was driving a 2017 Subaru. Deputies say Flaherty was eastbound and was going through the intersection when the two collided. Olson’s vehicle also collided with a couple of signs before coming to rest; Flaharty’s vehicle spun about 180 degrees coming to rest partially on the road and shoulder.
Flaharty was taken to Spencer Hospital with possible injuries and was cited with failure to yield.
The collision took place around 2:18 pm.
