(Okoboji)– An upcoming event at the Dickinson County Nature Center will give couples the opportunity to reconnect outdoors, while also providing some learning experiences to their children.
Community Relations Director Amy Heibult says Nature Night Out: Campfire Cooking will be held July 10th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm…
“We have at the Maser Monarch Lodge adults will be learning how to build campfires and some recipes that they’ll be able to test out on the fire and then take some samples. This is just a really good time to reconnect as a couple and then we’re taking that distraction of having the kids. We’ll have some fun activities over at the Nature Center for them to do. They’ll get to meet some of our animal ambassadors and then there’s always an education lesson to learn over here. We’ll have registration out on our website at dickinsoncountyconservationboard.com. There’s two separate links for adults and children and it’s a really wonderful free event. We’ll also be having another one on July 24th with more details to be updated.”
Registration for the July 10th event is required…
“We do have a cap of 30 people for adults so you want to make sure you get registered and don’t wait.”
