(Wallingford)– A riding lawn mower caught on fire Monday in Wallingford.
Firefighters were called to 285 St. James Street and found the mower completely engulfed. The fire was quickly put out before it could spread, but the mower was destroyed.
Authorities say the person who was operating it was able to get off quickly and wasn’t hurt.
Firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes.
