(Arnolds Park)– Can donation trailers are making a return to help raise funds for this year’s 4th of July Fireworks display put on by the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
Those trailers had to be pulled for awhile after a group that had been collecting the redeemable cans and bottles discontinued doing that. Chamber officials say some new volunteers have stepped forward to do that now, and as a result, the can trailers are once again making appearances. The locations, however, have changed. The new sites include the parking lot at the chamber office in Arnolds Park; the parking lot at the former Oak Hill Outdoor location near the intersection of Highways 71 and 86 on the north edge of Milford; and the parking lot at Consumer’s Lumber in Spirit Lake.
