(Storm Lake)– The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold an informational event next week for proposed improvements at several intersections on Iowa Highway 7 near Storm Lake. D.O.T officials say the improvements are planned at the 70th Avenue and Villa Road intersection; west of 70th Avenue to east of 80th Avenue, and at the 80th Avenue intersection.
Detours will be in place while the work is going on, with construction expected to start in the fall of 2027 and completion by the end of 2028.
An informational open house will be held Tuesday, May 12th, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Alta Community Center in Alta.
