(Spirit Lake)– A major fundraiser for the Spirit Lake Fire Department is coming up this Saturday, April 11th. Chief Pat Daly tells KUOO news they’ll be holding their annual Pancake Feed that day from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm at the fire station in Spirit Lake with a freewill donation being accepted…
“What we’re doing is we’re updating all of our rescue equipment. Times change. Some get worn out so it’s time to change, so that’s what we’ll be using it for. But all the guys and gals will be there. Just remember we are with Superior this year so we have some extra help there. All the trucks will be out on the apron so everybody can look at them. All of our people will be doing the cooking.”
Daly says it’s a great time to get to know the firefighters and ask any questions you might have…
“I’m going to be milling around smartly. If anybody has any questions I can hopefully answer them for them, why we do this and why we do that. I will be around, you’ll see me in my white shirt.”
This will mark the 71st year for the Spirit Lake Fire Department’s Pancake Feed.
