(Estherville)– There will be another unscheduled test of Emmet county’s outdoor warning sirens this Thursday, April 9th.
Emmet County Emergency Management Coordinator Travis Sheridan says there were some issues with a previous test and that sirens Thursday could be sounding multiple times throughout the day. He says it will affect the outdoor warning sirens in Estherville, Gruver, Wallingford, Armstrong and the Emmet County Parks. Sheridan says the test will be postponed in the event severe weather is threatening.
Sheridan says they need to make sure things are functioning properly as Emmet county transitions to a new control system for the sirens.
