(Spencer)– A special election will be held tomorrow (Tues.) in Spencer to decide who will fill the ward 4 seat on the city council.
The city council previously appointed Duane Bates to fill the vacancy, however a petition was filed calling for Tuesday’s special election. One other person, James Vermeer, is running for the seat.
The deadline to vote absentee in the election is 4:30 pm today (Monday).
Another special election to fill a vacant council seat in Ward 5 will be held Tuesday, April 28th. The filing period for that election closed on Friday, April 3rd.
