Dickinson County Conservation Board Announces Hiring Of New Head Of IRVM Program

April 02, 2026

(Okoboji)– The Dickinson County Conservation Board has announced Charles Vigdahl has been hired as the new coordinator of the county’s Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) program. Vigdahl most recently was the Manager of the Regional Collection Center.

Vigdahl will continue working with landowners and partners to promote and maintain native vegetation along county road rights-of-way. The program is intended to reduce erosion, improve water filtration, control weeds, and improve and protect wildlife habitat.

Vigdahl fills the position previously held by Tanner Bouchard, who was also Dickinson county’s weed commissioner. As we reported previously, Bouchard is now working for the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
