(Estherville)– The Music Department at Iowa Lakes CC will perform You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown April 16th through the 18th. Lincoln Larsen, Director of Music and Performing Arts at Iowa Lakes says they had a great turnout to the casting call…
“We had so many people that came out and honestly, like we had to do some callback too, just because we had so many good people just trying to figure out how we’re going to have everybody in their part. But right now, with what we got and the people we have doing each part, it’s going to be absolutely amazing. Everybody’s doing such a great job.”
Larsen says the musical features all of your favorite Peanuts characters…
“It’s literally just a day in the life of Charlie Brown. It basically just shows him waking up what it’s like living his day, going to school, going to play baseball games. It literally just shows a day in the life with the peanuts characters. And thankfully, you know, it’s not just about Charlie Brown. I mean, we also have Lucy that shows up. There’s Snoopy, Linus, Schroeder, and Sally. The whole gang has their own little moments that everybody gets, and it really just captures the essence of what the cartoon is, which is the best part. And we get to add music to it, too.”
The performances will be held on April 16th, 17th and 18th in the Performing Arts Center on the Iowa Lakes Estherville campus. The show starts each night at 7:30. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on ticket leap. There is a link provided with this news story on exploreokoboji.com
