(Fairmont, Mn.)– Another southern Minnesota Sheriff has announced he won’t be seeking re-election. Martin County Jeff Markquart says he’ll retire at the end of his current term, after having served in the capacity 16 years.
In a statement, Markquart says he’s deeply grateful for the trust and support he received from the residents of Martin county and to have had the opportunity to work alongside the dedicated men and women of the Sheriff’s Office.
Markquart goes on to say he remains committed to serving the people of Martin County with integrity and dedication for the rest of his term as Sheriff.
