(Emmetsburg)– An Ottosen man faces multiple charges stemming from a high speed pursuit last week through portions of Palo Alto and Pocahontas counties.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says it started around 8:30 pm Wednesday when a deputy clocked a vehicle traveling 84 mph in a 55 mph zone at the Emmet county line just north of Graettinger. The pursuit ended after the suspect vehicle went over some stop sticks in Humboldt county.
The driver, identified as 52-year-old Steven Himes, was charged with 14 traffic violations and one count of interference with official acts resulting in bodily injury.
Six different law enforcement agencies were involved in the pursuit.
