Iowa D.O.T Accepting Public Comment On Upcoming Project In Osceola County

(Ames)– The Iowa Department of Transportation is accepting public comment on plans to replace a culvert on Highway 59 near Allendorf, in Osceola county. A D.O.T representative says the project is a year or so out…

“A generalized project schedule known at this time is that the project letting is anticipated for the spring of 2027; construction beginning in the spring of 2027; and the project completed by the end of 2027.”

D.O.T officials say a detour will be in place during the project utilizing Iowa Highways 9 and 60 and Osceola County Road A-22.

The project has an estimated cost of $800,000.

The D.O.T is accepting comments until March 23rd. You can find more information about the project and provide input here.
