(Spirit Lake)– An agreement has been reached over who’s responsible for fixing drainage issues at the newly constructed Sherwood Forest Park at the former Inn Golf Course in Okoboji.
The Dickinson County Conservation Board has been overseeing the project that’s been plagued by delays. The new park was scheduled to open last summer but it wound up being called off due to the ongoing issues.
The agreement approved Tuesday is between the firm that designed the park, the general contractor and the county.
Lee Sorrenson, Director of the Dickinson County Conservation Board, told the supervisors Tuesday he’s hopeful the repairs will take care of the issue, adding the County Engineer has reviewed the proposed fix. The agreement provides $730,000 in funding to make the repairs.
