Iowa DNR Holding Input Meetings In The Area This Week

March 02, 2026

(Undated)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be holding some meetings in our area this week to gather feedback on hunting and trapping rules and regulations and possible changes to them. Meetings are scheduled for Tuesday evening, March 3rd, at 6:30 pm at the Spencer Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College on the west side of the North Mall, and at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening, March 4th, at Maser Monarch Lodge just west of the Dickinson County Nature Center.

DNR officials say the sessions are being held throughout Iowa to gather input to be considered prior to any changes being made to hunting rules and regulations. They add any revisions will need to go to the Natural Resource Commission for consideration and further public input prior to any adoption.
