(Okoboji)– The Dickinson County Nature Center will hold a Kenue Coffee Hour next week. Community Relations Director Amy Heibult says the topic will be on archaeology in northwest Iowa…
“Our speaker is Mark Anderson who is the archaeologist at Sanford Museum in Cherokee. He’s going to be presenting about archaeology and the last 14,000 years of human history here in the northwest Iowa region and talking about some of the cool things that they found in stone tools, arrowheads, pottery shards and a few other things. We’re really excited to hear, just kind of seeing that connection to our history in this region.”
The event will be held Thursday, March 5th at 10:30 am at Maser Monarch Lodge. It’s free to attend and pre-registration isn’t required.
