(Estherville)– A recent inspection of Estherville’s waste water treatment plant came back with mostly positive marks. City Administrator Penny Clayton told the city council earlier this week while no major issues were identified in the report, it does have a few recommendations…
“It does recommend that we continue to search and remediate any INI, so inflow and infiltration, into our plant.”
Clayton says the city has an ongoing maintenance program to address that…
“We do brick manhole rehab each year to help assist with that plus we do spot checks. As we find things we fix them. That’s part of our cleaning and maintenance program.”
The treatment facility recently underwent some improvements to reduce the amount of phosphorous being released in treated wastewater.
