(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College will again be offering their singing Valentine’s. Vocal Music and Choir Professor Brett Fuelberth talks about what the day entails…
“We take our men’s quartet out all dressed in tuxes on February thirteenth, and we travel the community delivering singing valentines, and so it’s really a fun day for us. We usually fill up for the day, so people need to get them early, but we sing two songs to whoever you want us to and deliver a rose to them, and we take a Polaroid picture so that they, you know, with the guys so that they can just, you know, keep that as well to. And so it’s just been a fun day for us to spread some joy on, uh, February thirteenth, since it falls on the fourteenth, we do it because we often go to businesses and restaurants and everywhere else.”
Fuelberth says you don’t want to wait to sign up as the spots fill up quickly…
“You can call 712-362-7963, which will be my phone number at the college. And yeah, leave your name and number and I’ll give you a call back and we can get it set up on when and where you’d like it. We go to Estherville and we also go to Spirit Lake and down to Spencer usually. So kind of Milford, all those areas in between.”
The singing Valentine costs $30 and will be delivered on February 13th. You can call 712-362-7963 or email Fuelberth at bfuelberth@iowalakes.edu.
