Southern Minnesota Crash Sends One Person To The Hospital

(Sherburn, Mn.)– One person was hospitalized following a two vehicle collision Wednesday evening at an intersection on Highway 4 near Sherburn.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 71-year-old Debra Espinoza of Estherville was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on a county road and 58-year-old Michelle Johnson of Sherburn was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass east on Highway 4 when the two collided in the intersection.

Johnson was taken to the Fairmont hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Espinoza was also injured but apparently wasn’t taken to a hospital.

The Sherburn Police Department, Sherburn Fire Department and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.

The collision took place a little after 6:00 pm.
