(Spirit Lake)– A second suspect in a carjacking incident in October of last year in Okoboji has now been extradited to Iowa. Online records show 27-year-old Vaughn Harris, who’s from the Twin Cities area, was booked into the Dickinson County Jail Thursday afternoon. He was charged with robbery in the 1st degree, willful injury causing serious injury, operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, assault with a dangerous weapon and theft in the 1st degree.
Harris was being held previously by authorities in Minnesota on charges there.
The October 13th, 2025 carjacking took place in the parking lot at Lake Okoboji Resort. A pregnant woman was forced out of the vehicle and was injured after being partially run over by it.
Harris and another suspect in the case, Jessica Nordrum, who’s also from the Twin Cities area, were arrested later that same day following a pursuit near Blue Earth, Minnesota.
Nordrum pled guilty to the charges against her last month and was turned over to Minnesota officials on a conditional release. She’s scheduled to be sentenced in Dickinson County District Court February 17th.
