(Arnolds Park)– It may be extremely cold but that isn’t going to stop Saturday’s Polar Plunge from taking place, another longstanding University of Okoboji Winter Games tradition. Chris Yungbluth of Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue says this by far isn’t the first time they’ve held the event in frigid conditions…
Yungbluth also urges participants to have a plan as to where they will go once they complete the plunge in which to change into some warm, dry clothing.
The Polar Plunge will take place on the ice near the Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Registration begins at 1:30 pm with the plunge itself beginning promptly at 3:00 pm.
