Indian Athletic Booster Club Gearing Up For Annual Gala

January 21, 2026

(Spirit Lake)– Booster Clubs at area schools rely on community support and Spirit Lake is no different. The Indian Athletic Booster Club will hold their annual gala on Friday February 27th. Booster Club President Steve Scott explains what the night entails…

“Basically what we do is get everybody from our community for our school together. It’s a night of food, fun drinks. We have a silent auction, and this year we actually have a guest speaker, Jordan Bohannon, who played basketball at Iowa, to speak about, you know, his history and how important it was for the community to support the student athlete. We have some guest speakers. We’ll have maybe some coaches talk, but all the proceeds that we get go towards the student athletes. It will help with uniforms, equipment, facilities, everything. So one hundred percent of the proceeds that come from that will go back to the student athletes at Spirit Lake.”

Scott says they are blessed to have such amazing community support…

“The only way that we ever get anything nice is with the community involvement. We have by far one of the best communities that helps the student athletes our football field. We have a new hitting indoor hitting facility and tailgate center that was partially paid for for the booster club. And it is. It is vital for everybody to be able to chip in and help our student athletes.”

The Indian Athletic Booster Club Gala will be at the Waterfront Event Center on February 27th. For more information or to purchase tickets you can go to bit.ly/SLGala2026.
