(Spirit Lake)– Celebrating advancements in healthcare in the Iowa Great Lakes and raising funds for future projects is the goal of the Grape Escape. Sonja Hamm, who is the Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation Executive Director, talks about why the hold this event annually…
“It’s a way for us to get together. We celebrate all the great things that have been happening in health care and at Lakes Regional Healthcare in particular. It’s a way to really bring some additional services to our area, enhance that health care for our community.”
Hamm says they are blessed to be able to continue this event…
“It’s just a blessing that we’re able to continue to do this event, and it’s something fun. Kind of pluck it right in the middle of winter. So something fun to look forward to as we are all itching for summer to come. So excited to be able to offer this event and again have everyone come and join us!”
Hamm talks about what you can do if you are unable to attend the event in person…
“You can certainly always make a donation. And we would just be doing that to Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation. So we can certainly take those donations if you’re not able to attend. Or maybe you find a friend and they can bid on an auction item for you. So we’ll be sharing some of that information via social media. So then maybe people can put their eyes on a couple of things and and hey, just find somebody that maybe can put a bid in for you that night and you might walk away with an auction item even though you’re not there.”
The Grape Escape will be held at the Roof Garden Ballroom on February 6th. There will be a live auction and music from Jazzed Up Big Band following dinner this year. Tickets are $150 and can be purchased by calling 712-336-8791.
