(Primghar)– A public informational meeting will be held December 15th in Primghar regarding the Cherokee Regional Medical Center taking over management of the town’s medical clinic. It will be held at 6:30 p.m that evening at the Primghar Community Building.
Cherokee Regional recently announced that, effective Saturday, December 27, 2025, they will acquire MercyOne Primghar Family Medicine in Primghar. Any MercyOne patients looking to transfer their care, as well as any residents looking to learn more about Cherokee Regional’s healthcare services or the services of the Primghar Medical Clinic, are encouraged to attend the December 15th meeting.
Cherokee Regional officials say their goal is to open the Primghar Medical Clinic, a hospital outpatient department of Cherokee Regional Medical Center, the week of December 29, 2025. It will join the Cherokee Medical Clinic, along with clinics in Holstein, Aurelia, Marcus and Sutherland. At that time, former MercyOne clinic patients will be invited to transfer their care to Cherokee Regional’s new Primghar Medical Clinic.
